Testify at FY25 Budget Hearings

The DC Council is in the middle of the budget process to make decisions about how DC spends its money – from food assistance and school meals to grants for food businesses. Mayor Muriel Bowser is scheduled to deliver her proposed budget for the Fiscal Year 2025 to the DC Council on March 20, 2024. In late March through early April, each Council Committee is holding public hearings to hear residents’ thoughts and suggestions on the proposed budget. Residents’ voices are crucial to shaping a budget that supports an equitable, healthy, and sustainable food system. You can submit written testimony, leave testimony over voicemail, or testify live. To help you prepare, we hosted a training on April 10.
