As a part of the October 1, 2025 Food Policy Council meeting, Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) staff presented the following briefing on their analysis of food insecurity in DC. Their 2025 Hunger Report summarizes food insecurity in the DMV: this presentation specifically shares DC data. In 2025, the CAFB survey specifically looked at the impact of federal job losses, inflation, and economic instability.
