The DC Food Policy Council recognizes the successes that were achieved over the past year through the hard work and dedication of its members, working groups, and District residents and businesses. We understand that challenges persist within the District’s food system and are committed to continuing the important work from our 2021 Priorities. Therefore, in 2022, the DC Food Policy Council is renewing its commitments to the 2021 Priorities and with new strategies for achieving systemic change within the District’s food system. And, we are introducing two new priorities for 2022, which focus on the importance of how food policies can address climate change, and increasing resident voice to enhance the equitable development of the District’s food policies.
